Before I became a UX/UI designer, I spent 5 years in Marketing/Advertising
While living in Chile I worked in various advertising agencies as a Researcher/Brand Strategist, my main focus was to discover relevant market and consumer insights to build creative and impactful strategies.
Design entered my scene 4 years ago
At some point in my career I noticed something was missing, and it was having a bigger impact to help others. Discovering design was awesome, because it allowed me to translate the way people think into functional and impactful products that help them live better or easier lives.
Why UX/UI Design?
Design at its core is about helping people. My experience in advertising taught me to be empathetic to peopleβs unique ways of thinking, it also taught me the value of purposeful decision-making in design.
And what about my personal life?
Outside of design, I'm an avid fan of entertainment, I love to watch and digest movies and books, everytime I see a piece of media, I want to look for different analysis and explanations in YouTube and discuss it with friends. I also enjoy football, music and seafood.
